Details : This is a smooth, simple event. You can truly bring anything you wish to trade on the final Friday of every month. However, we do ask that you keep this a trade only event. Cash transactions between attendees are not permitted. Trade fun and trade smart. Überbot is not responsible for personal trades made in-store but we are more than happy to advise on trades to make sure things stay enjoyable and even-steven.

Two big books this week! Yes, Final Crisis #1 is here and, believe it or not, Giant Size Astonishing X-men has finally decided to make an appearance. Jeez … what took that book so freakin’ long?? New book days on Thursday are rare but we hope you can all manage to make an appearance in the shop today!!

Last night was the night of firsts. It was our first store-wide sale, our first group art show for painted work, our first event put together in just a week, the first show we had during a thunderstorm and the first show in the freakin’ dark! That’s right, boys and girls. A little over an hour into the evening the power in half of the Village went out! Many of you stayed and enjoyed the art by cell phone light and purchased items with cash. About 50 minutes later things kicked back on and we rocketed towards our sales goal and beat it by more than double!!

Thanks to everyone who came out and supported us and this last minute event! You guys are all amazing and we’re happy to have you as part of our store!! Thanks to everyone who got the word out. Thanks to the talented artists of the evening and those who supported those artists by purchasing some of the best work we’ve had in the shop. Thanks to Jim for trying to take some photos when it was pitch black. Thanks to Pete for the tunes. Thanks to Kevin for the stilt walking and dirty balloons. Tonight is the night!  7pm to 11pm!  We’ve got some amazing art from all of your favorites including many paintings and custom toys from Buff Monster, huge Phil Noto paintings that are the best we’ve seen, new prints and an original painting from Terribly Odd, knock-your-socks-off paintings from Erik Jones, impressive canvas and wood pieces from Dres13, a big selection of rock posters compliments of Enemy Ink AND a ton of stuff from Stainboy!  Yes, loads o’ goodies.  Most of it is already available for viewing online through our homepage.  For those of you out-of-area, art can be purchased online after 7pm!!  Oh yea, and there is stuff on sale!!!!  Stop by tonight!!! How do you know when you’re in love? Is it the little burning in your gut or excited flutter in your heart? Is it when you can’t stop thinking about something every second of every day? That’s how we feel about Erik Jones … or, at least, his artwork. Erik has brought in 3 paintings for this Saturdays show and they are all amazing, to say the least. Not to mention, his prices are reduced from his standard costs as an extra bonus for this fundraising event! Prepare yourself! A few people are going to get very lucky at this show.

Despite being one of coolest shops in Winter Park, unique circumstances in the Village have put us in a tough situation that we’ll need your help to move past! If we don’t hit a magic sales number over the next few days, Überbot in the Winter Park Village will be closed before the month is over and forced to scramble into a new spot. The first thing you can do is visit Uberbot today!! Pick up some goodies and have a nice day in the Village. The second thing, come to our big fund raising event Saturday the 24th!! The sale will last all day but the event goodness goes from 7pm to 11pm. We’ll have storewide sales, giveaways and raffles. The night will also be a full fledged art event as some of our favorite artists are stepping up to help out! We’ll have new pieces from all of your favorites like Phil Noto, Buff Monster, Stainboy, Dan Brereton, Terribly Odd and Erik Jones! The list grows with every hour so by next Saturday it will be a perfect night to pick up some new art, designer toys, apparel and just about anything else you want! Tell your friends and family!
