The Munnyocalypse has come to an end and all of the votes have been counted! If you were there, you will live to tell the tale. If you weren’t there … well, you’ll have to wait until tomorrow afternoon for a full post of winners, honorable mentions, the Top 10 list and, of course, loads and loads and loads of photos! Yes, we’re bastards for making you wait. We know. 
Every year the deadline passes and every year we allow people to turn in their Munnys past the deadline. Holy Smokes are we suckers for you beautiful people!! :) If you have yet to turn in your Munny, please be sure to get it in before Friday. Don’t forget to come to the show this Saturday at 7pm!!
With the Munnyocalypse coming up in a few weeks, we thought it would be fun to put together a little event T-shirt featuring all of the fantastic artists that have joined the rockin’ show! You can see the front of the shirt after the jump. The back will feature the artist names just like cities on a tour shirt. To make this happen, we need artists that will be submitting a MUNNY to our show to drop us a line so we can get the shirt ready for print! If we don’t get enough names in advance, we won’t be able to print the shirt. If you want in, just email us at steve [at] uberbotrocks.com and give us your name. That’s it! Easy pleasey.
Dunny Series 5 Pre-release is tonight @ 6pm!! Kidrobot has cooridinated this event with less than 20 stores in the world so we hope everyone within driving distance of Uberbot comes out to support the event and picks up some free goodies compliments of the KR like T-shirts, buttons, stickers and more!! Last year we sold out only one hour into the party so be on time! We’ll see you tonight!!
We’re not going to tell you how important this election is because every election in our lives is important. If you aren’t registered to vote, we are here to help! This Saturday we’re hosting a voters registration drive! If you or your family or friends need to sign up, please join us at Uberbot this Saturday from noon to 4pm! August is going to be a bit quiet for one main reason - September is going to be freakin’ HUGE!! Not one, not two, but THREE massive and unique events in one month!

It was a packed house at Überbot for Let Them Eat Pancakes : The Hellboy Art Show!! Thank you to everyone who came out to see the 40+ pieces of art inspired by Mike Mignola’s Hellboy as brought to you by artists both local and international from backgrounds ranging from comics to street art!! We had to get inventive with wall space on this one and every inch of our walls were packed with inspiring works. We are very grateful to the dozens of artists who created such beautiful and fun pieces. Great praise to each and every artist is well deserved!! Thank you to Erica and Dark Horse comics for supplying the free Hellboy goodies. Thanks to Jim Carchidi for taking some cool photos. Thanks to Pete and Shane for your love and music. Thanks to the Orlando Sentinel for coming out and covering the event. And, again, thank you to everyone who came out to support the show, the artists and your friendly neighborhood Überbot.

All of the art is hiding in the store waiting for Saturday night!! Some amazing artists have come together to celebrate the release of Hellboy 2 and the inspiring art of Hellboy’s creator, Mike Mignola! The fun starts at 7pm on Saturday the 12th and our little Hellboy Art Show will come complete with some tasty snacks, great DJ Tunes, free Hellboy items with purchase (Courtesy of Dark Horse Comics while supplies last) and we’re also adding an extra bonus. Go see Hellboy 2 in theaters this weekend and bring us your ticket stub to receive 10% off any store item (original artwork not included).
PS - We’ll be moving as quickly as possible to get all of the art for view/sale online this Saturday!
It’s the final friday of the month and that means it’s trading time!! 7pm!! We hope to see you here! We’ll bring the little debbies!!
Details : This is a smooth, simple event. You can truly bring anything you wish to trade on the final Friday of every month. However, we do ask that you keep this a trade only event. Cash transactions between attendees are not permitted. Trade fun and trade smart. Überbot is not responsible for personal trades made in-store but we are more than happy to advise on trades to make sure things stay enjoyable and even-steven.
For many of us, 2008 is the toughest year of our lives. Some of our friends and loved ones are art war and wondering why. Jobs are being lost left and right. Bills are getting tough to pay with gas at almost $4 a gallon and rising. Our homes have lost their value. Much of the world looks down upon our country … oh man, we can go on and on. This is a scary time both in business and personal lives and much of it is related to politics. Is it wise for a business to get involved? Most probably not. However, Überbot isn’t just a place to buy and sell goods. It is a part of the community and culture of our town and these things are greatly effected by the political landscape. With so much at stake, this year is truly the most important year on so many levels. We need our economy back. We need to rebuild a sense of self and our standing in the world. To us, there has never been a clearer choice.
The message of Hope that follows Barack Obama has expressed itself in the streets with the most amazing art movement. Überbot would like to continue this movement with your help! We are asking artists to send us their Obama artwork. We will pick the most impressive work and make sure it gets out into the world so that all of our words and feelings are expressed. Be active!
