August is going to be a bit quiet for one main reason - September is going to be freakin’ HUGE!!  Not one, not two, but THREE massive and unique events in one month!

• Wednesday September 3rd - DUNNY SERIES 5 PreRelease Party!!  Get your Dunnys one day early with all of the prizes and fun you’ve come to expect from our joint parties with the Kidrobot!
• Saturday September 20th - MUNNYOCALYPSE!!  The biggest and best DIY show in the southeast!  This one is going to be double plus good so be sure to check out the details and enter your custom MUNNY!
• Saturday September 27th - STAINBOY!!  Celebrate the release of the newest artbook from Rock Poster Art Superstar Greg Reinel!  BONUS!  This event is
  also the release party for the new Stainboy limited edition Jamungo Blow Up Doll!!

We hope to see all of you every week of September!  The remainder of this year is packed with events so be sure to keep your eye out for new posts, newletters and all that communication goodness.

It was a packed house at Überbot for Let Them Eat Pancakes : The Hellboy Art Show!!  Thank you to everyone who came out to see the 40+ pieces of art inspired by Mike Mignola’s Hellboy as brought to you by artists both local and international from backgrounds ranging from comics to street art!!  We had to get inventive with wall space on this one and every inch of our walls were packed with inspiring works.  We are very grateful to the dozens of artists who created such beautiful and fun pieces.  Great praise to each and every artist is well deserved!!  Thank you to Erica and Dark Horse comics for supplying the free Hellboy goodies.  Thanks to Jim Carchidi for taking some cool photos.  Thanks to Pete and Shane for your love and music.  Thanks to the Orlando Sentinel for coming out and covering the event.  And, again, thank you to everyone who came out to support the show, the artists and your friendly neighborhood Überbot.

Last night was the night of firsts. It was our first store-wide sale, our first group art show for painted work, our first event put together in just a week, the first show we had during a thunderstorm and the first show in the freakin’ dark! That’s right, boys and girls. A little over an hour into the evening the power in half of the Village went out! Many of you stayed and enjoyed the art by cell phone light and purchased items with cash. About 50 minutes later things kicked back on and we rocketed towards our sales goal and beat it by more than double!!

Thanks to everyone who came out and supported us and this last minute event! You guys are all amazing and we’re happy to have you as part of our store!! Thanks to everyone who got the word out. Thanks to the talented artists of the evening and those who supported those artists by purchasing some of the best work we’ve had in the shop. Thanks to Jim for trying to take some photos when it was pitch black. Thanks to Pete for the tunes. Thanks to Kevin for the stilt walking and dirty balloons. Thanks to Dan, Lindsay and the Orlando Weekly for sponsoring the event. Thank you Shirley for the Sacred Heart of Steven Cake. Most of all, another thanks to everyone who came out. We had fun and we hope you did as well.
