Phil Noto Trans Am Champions!!  It was a great show filled with more impressive Phil Noto artwork and we would like to thank him for taking the time, yet again, to put together another amazing event! As always, thanks to all who attending the show.  You know we love you more than hash browns.  We’re also grateful to comic pros Darwyn Cooke,  Amanda Connor  and Jimmy Palmiotti for spending the evening at Uberbot.  And, of course, thanks to Jim Carchidi for his shutterbug skills.  Check out Phil’s art in our online store!  Peace and Love!!

Trans Am Champions!!!  Not only is that the name of Phil Noto’s ‘08 art event but it is also what you will be if you attend!  Do you want to be a champion?  Do you want to witness the unveiling of beautiful new works from the talented Phil Noto?  Do you want to mingle with other creative and talented residents of Central Florida?  If so, we hope to see you this Saturday at 7pm.   It is sure to be an evening to remember.  Also, this will most likely be our last big solo art show before we relocate into a larger space for the new year!  We truly hope to see you here!!!

As we prepare our big move in the new year, we’ll need to shave off some hours to allow us time to prep.  So we’ve cut the fat on a couple of slower days of the week.  Effective immediately - please take note of our fancy new ’boutique store’ style hours!!

HADOKEN 08 has concluded and it was a seriously good time. We put together this show on a small level to test the interest and we’re convinced that we need to come back with HADOKEN 09 on a HUGE level!  Thank you to all of the artists that took time to enter a piece.  All (and we mean ALL) of the entries are very lovely and it was artist’s work that made the show so much fun!!  Thank you to everyone that came out to support the local artists involved!!

Today is certainly a new day.  We have a natural inclination to gush out an long optimistic paragraph about the historic levels of this election.  Instead we will simply say thank you to everyone who voted.  Regardless of who your vote went to, our greatest hope is that the division in our country can begin to disappear.  Right vs Left - Town vs City - Mac vs PC - 360 vs PS3 …. we’re sick of the closed minds on all levels.  Let us all take this opportunity to work together and bring a health to this country that can never be torn down again.  We’re here for you when you need us. Forever Forward!!

There is a ton of good reading this week but we wanted to highlight the new release of the Absolute Watchmen Hardcover.  This oversized hardcover collection, packaged inside a beautifully designed slipcase, will be the cornerstone of any serious comic book collection. Each page of art has been restored and recolored by and approved by Gibbons to appear as originally intended. Additionally, this monster contains 48 pages of supplemental material produced exclusively for the this edition and not seen since their original publication. Oh jeez … another alteration in hours this week!  We will again be closed on Monday.  There is much prep to do for future plans and we apologize for the closed day.  We promise, it will produce a great many things.   Also, we will have special Election Day hours on Tuesday - 11am to 6pm!!  If you haven’t early voted, be sure to get out on Tuesday and partake in the experience!!
