Happy Halloween, Witches!! In celebration of the day [meaning we know this place will be empty tonight] Uberbot will be closing at 7pm this evening.  We hope you all have fun and eat loads o’ candy.  We’re going to play some Dead Space and pass out on the couch. NICE!!

With Preacher being one of our best selling graphic novels, we like to keep you up-to-date on all things Preacher.  Some of you remember that HBO purchased the rights to produce Preacher as a TV series.  That would have been the best but, after years of development, HBO decided it would be too violent.  We were ready to give up but today there is something new.  Sony Pictures and Original Films have landed the film rights to Preacher and have chosen Sam Mendes (”Jarhead,” “Revolutionary Road”) to direct.  So far that is all we know!  We’re bummed since Preacher is doing to be tough to fit into a movie.  We’ll keep you updated.

Happy Halloween!  I guess we should have posted a scarier book to highlight this week.  Thor is rather pretty so that does not really work.  However, Thor is a book we look forward to each month.  This is especially note worthy given the fact that Thor has always been one of our least favorite Marvel characters.  Now he is easily in our tops!  If you haven’t been reading it, be sure to pick up the first volume of the graphic novel.  And have a safe Halloween!!!  Boooooo!

Thanks to everyone for attending the Erik Jones show last night.  This was his last art event before heading off to the Big Apple and we wish him the best.  He deserves some serious attention and we look forward to working with him in the future.  Keep an eye out for product collaborations in the new year!!!

For those who missed the event, his available originals are now online in our original art section.  There are some beautiful prints still available in the shop so please come by and enjoy seeing the originals in person because the art is massive and impressive (that’s what she said).

Many of you know we’ve been carrying some art related goods revolving around the political year.  We’ve had stickers from Shepard Fairey, Ron English and more!  Everyone has loved the J. Scott Campbell covers on the Obama and McCain comic!  However, today we received our favorite item.  Artist David Choe has produced a beautifully dramatic Obama piece.  We are upset that we couldn’t get our hands on any prints but we do have the stickers available!!  The entire run was only 5000 and have already sold out worldwide.  We have a small stack left, first come first serve!!

Just what is the Flagship Uberbot project?  Check back today at noon EST to find out! WOOOOOOOOW!! That is some serious mystery right there!!!

It’s time!  We’ve put a ton of love and hard work into this one and we believe it will be the beginning of something amazing.  We are extremely proud to announce the launch our companies biggest project - Flagship Uberbot!!

New book day - Ghost Rider edition!!  We’re going to give Ghost Rider the official award for most underrated character in the Marvel Universe.  He looks pretty damned cool and the book has a history of amazing art.  Sure, Nicholas Cage almost ruined the whole thing but Ghost Rider will survive.  This week Ghost Rider Danny Ketch #1 will be released.  This book should be a great follow-up to the popular 90’s Ghost Rider series!!  Check it out!

All of us at Team Überbot have been very busy this year preparing a major project that will have some significant impact on the community and create the best Überbot experience possible!  The name of this project is Flagship Überbot and we can’t express to you how excited we are to make it official.  Flagship Überbot is going to be huge and it will be interactive.  We will announce this news here on our website this Wednesday at noon!  We hope you will be involved so be sure to check back!
